Les meilleurs rooftops au Maroc — notre sélection testée

Morocco possesses an asset that many countries envy: almost always clear skies, spectacular sunsets, and breathtaking urban panoramas. It’s no surprise that the rooftop culture has flourished there. We traveled throughout the Kingdom to discover the best high terraces.

Casablanca: The City That’s Rising (Literally)

The economic metropolis of Morocco is multiplying its elevated addresses. With its modern towers and art deco buildings, Casablanca offers unique views of the Atlantic Ocean and the urban skyline.

The Sky Bar remains the Casablanca reference. Perched on the top of one of the tallest buildings on the corniche, it offers a 360° view of the city and the ocean. The cocktail menu is carefully curated, and the atmosphere builds as the evening goes on, especially on Friday and Saturday night. Reservation is essential on Friday and Saturday evening.

Mila Supper Club proposes an intimate terrace with a wide-open view. The supper club atmosphere — live music, dimmed lighting, a gastronomic menu — makes it a perfect option for a more exclusive evening. The dress code is enforced.

Glaz is seduced by its contemporary design and a terrace overlooking the Gauthier neighborhood. It’s one of the most Instagrammable spots in Casablanca. The signature cocktails are inventive and the service is attentive.

Marrakech : rooftops with views on the Atlas

In Marrakech, the rooftops offer a unique spectacle: the roofs of the medina in the foreground, the Koutoubia rising proudly, and in the background the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. A living painting that changes color throughout the day.

Naama (4.4/5, 223 reviews) is one of the beautiful discoveries of our Marrakech tour. This restaurant-bar with a panoramic terrace offers a revisited Moroccan cuisine and oriental-inspired cocktails. The setting is well-cared for without being stuffy, and the view of the palm grove at sunset is unforgettable.

Le Kilim, with its 4.4/5 for 477 reviews, is a Marrakech institution. Its terrace offers one of the most beautiful views of the Koutoubia. People come for the atmosphere as much as for the menu — the tagines and grilled meats are excellent.

How to Choose Your Rooftop

Not all rooftops are the same. Here are our selection criteria:

  • The view: a real open panorama, not just an elevated terrace of one floor
  • The menu: crafted cocktails and a food offer that goes beyond the basics
  • The atmosphere: music adapted, well-lit lighting, professional service
  • Accessibility: ease of parking or taxi access

Practical Tips

The high season for rooftops in Morocco extends from April to October. During the summer months, prefer time slots in the late afternoon (from 6pm) to enjoy the sunset without suffering from the heat. In winter, some rooftops close their terrace or cover it — check before booking.

In terms of budget, count between 80 and 200 MAD for a cocktail depending on the establishment. The most prestigious addresses in Marrakech can go beyond this, but the experience is generally worth it.

Find all these addresses on our guide to bars, with photos, opening hours and GPS itinerary.
