Habibis review: our verdict
Habibis has ambition: a cuisine that aims to be creative, with refined flavors and a setting designed to make you linger, on Mohammed V Avenue in Essaouira. On nights when everything aligns, the menu surprises and you leave conquered. On the drinks side, the mocktail is a pleasant surprise.
The problem is consistency. From one evening to the next, the pasta can arrive overcooked, the chicken dry, the presentation neglected, and the service sometimes absent for long minutes. When the floor staff is present, they are attentive and do not hesitate to offer a dessert. For a dinner for two between curious, open-minded diners, it can work. For an occasion where everything must be perfect, or for a tight budget, we hesitate more.
The glass to order: a mocktail, more convincing than the pasta dishes. The trap: the bill, which can approach 700 DH for two without the dish always following (October 2026 receipt). The good time slot: lunch, since the house serves without interruption from noon to 11 pm, to test without committing to a big dinner.
