Le Dhow review: our verdict
A real boat, moored at the Bouregreg quay, with wood paneling and golden details: Le Dhow has the advantage of looking nothing like anything else in Rabat. You dine upstairs, facing the river, or you head down into the hold, on the club side, where a well-seasoned tapas menu accompanies cocktails that step off the beaten path.
Two atmospheres, therefore: the restaurant, more relaxed, with romantic background music; the hold, livelier, stretching until 4 a.m. from Wednesday to Saturday. Service is often attentive, sometimes overwhelmed. For a sunset aperitif, a dinner with friends, or an evening that slips into the club. Not for a gourmet dinner: the more classic cuisine, pizza at the top, remains the weak point compared to the tapas.
The dish to order: the tapas, octopus and melting potatoes or patatas bravas, between 40 and 90 DH per plate (October 2026 survey). The glass to order: a cocktail, letting the hold bartender compose it. The trap: asking for a mocktail without specifying « virgin », the misunderstanding can end up on the bill. The good slot: sunset.
