Zama Zama review: our verdict
At Zama Zama, dinner turns into a show without you needing to change venues: a DJ or singer sets the rhythm, a performance occasionally appears between courses, and the table is covered with mezze to share. The cuisine plays up Arab-Levantine fusion, generous and aromatic, and the signature cocktails hold their own against the plate.
The atmosphere is chic yet relaxed, on M Avenue, and the team is attentive from start to finish. Ideal for a birthday, a group of friends wanting to dine and then linger, or a first evening in Marrakech that sets the tone. The music still leaves room for conversation, but this isn't the right choice for a quiet tête-à-tête, or for those who want to dine without entertainment.
Dish to order: the mezze and sharing plates, take plenty for the whole table. Drink to order: a cocktail from the signature menu. Best time to go: dinner, when the music settles in; open daily from noon to 1:30 pm. Best tip: book online for birthday evenings.
