ENSO

Ensō is an delicate and amazing Japanese restaurant. It is a hidden jem in Casablanca as they use super high quality and fresh locally and internationally sourced seafood and fish such as bluefin tuna. The food is amazing and handmade by a superbe Japanese chef and his team. The vibes and atmosphere are immaculate in Casablanca and give off « Fancy Speakeasy » in the best possible way. For sure the best omokasé / Japanese in all of Casablanca!

Not Impressed! Had much higher expectations. I really dont understand the hype about this place. It is supposed to be a high end restaurant and it is reflected in the price and they must surely use good ingredients to normal Asian restaurants but the result was disappointing. The food and dishes are not that well executed compared to a high end venues in Casablanca. The service takes too long to serve the dishes with a weird cadence of serving the dishes. We ordered at least 7 to 8 dishes to try as many as we could but am sorry to say that although it is a fair effort from the Chef and team but it failed to impress me in terms of taste and seasonings etc..some dishes had too much sauce, some dishes were served too cold , even the cocktails I ordered were bland and not worth the price. The chopsticks set on the tables are the barren wood ones that are used in cheap sushi places and are not even wrapped which is , for me, incompatible with a high end Asian venue. The setting and atmosphere are nice but the tables are tooo close to each other and give no intimacy. For all these reasons , and when I compare it to the real high end places in Casablanca like the Asian restaurant in Royal Mansour Casablanca or "Iloli" ,I find the price and hype at this place unjustified. Even "Lily's" restaurant close to this same restaurant is better for its excellent professional service and vibes.

Beautifully designed, speakeasy vibes, hidden in the back of a building. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. We experienced an Omakase chef course which was nicely curated and very delicious.

Enso is a true ode to Japanese gastronomy.
