Barceló Tanger review: our verdict
The best moment at Barceló Tanger happens on the roof. B-Heaven, its rooftop bar, opens up the bay and marina in panoramic view, and you climb up for tapas to share and cocktails, whether you stay here or not. Below, a city hotel that does its job well: clean and comfortable rooms, a gym to keep your habits, and a location on Mohammed VI Boulevard that simplifies travel.
What we remember is the team: smiling at reception, available throughout the stay, with rooftop servers who know how to advise even when a drink is out of stock. It's a good choice for a business stay or a weekend in Tangier. It's not a destination hotel where you spend your days: breakfast does the job without more, and the charm is found on the roof rather than in the corridors.
Dish to order: a selection of tapas at B-Heaven, to share. Good tip: go up to the rooftop for an aperitif even if you're staying elsewhere. Pitfall: arrive with a specific cocktail in mind, as the menu sometimes runs out of stock.
