Brassaria review: our verdict
The signature dish at Brassaria is music: a DJ or live band depending on the evening, and a room that heats up as the night goes on. The menu strikes a balance between bar and tapas-style restaurant, with generous, well-presented plates meant for sharing rather than keeping to yourself.
The service keeps pace, management comes out to the dining room, and the place has become the spot to be in Dar Bouazza, at the Sela Plaza shopping centre. It's the address for a night out with friends or a birthday celebration that's meant to go late. Not for a quiet tête-à-tête, nor for a meal where you want to hear yourself speak.
The catch: the smell of cigarette smoke, which lingers in the room on certain evenings. The good slot: in the evening, when the music takes over; on Sundays, the house opens from noon. Closed on Mondays.
