Ligne Roset review: our verdict
The sofa, that was expected; the beautiful Assouline coffee table books, much less so. The Marrakech showroom of the French furniture manufacturer, a house founded in 1860, houses the publisher's first store in Morocco, with illustrated works to browse between two armchairs. As for the furniture, sofas, tables and seating are staged behind five large display windows, at the corner of Al Madina Street.
The advice makes the difference: they accompany you from choosing a sofa-bed to selecting a children's album, and remote follow-up keeps its promises, with fast delivery and well-protected packages. The address speaks to those furnishing an apartment or a riad, to lovers of contemporary design, and to visitors of the nearby Jardin Majorelle looking for a gift different from local craftsmanship. Not for hunting a local piece or a small souvenir to slip into the suitcase: here, it's European furniture publishing that speaks.
The trap: spending a Sunday, a day of closure, or a Monday morning, the store opening only at 3 p.m. on that day. The rest of the week, plan for the break from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
