Maison Brummell Majorelle review: our verdict
The wake-up call comes to the song of birds from the Majorelle Garden, just on the other side of the wall. Maison Brummell is a recent construction that speaks the language of the riad fluently: tadelakt and bejmat, terrazzo, arched doorways and windows, custom-made furniture mixed with curated finds. Architects Bergendy Cooke and Amine Abouraoui have accommodated eight suites across three floors here, some featuring an outdoor bathtub placed right on the terrace.
The house is experienced on a small scale: heated pool in the middle of the greenery, hammam, self-service bar, generous Moroccan breakfast served outdoors, a discreet but always present team. Perfect for a couple who wants to explore Majorelle, the Yves Saint Laurent museum and Guéliz on foot, then retreat to quiet. Not for a tribe or anyone expecting hotel animation and large communal spaces: here, there are only eight doors.
The trap: the excursion sold by the house, 1,200 DH with private driver for a classic circuit in the Ourika valley, without meals (checked in August 2025); compare before booking. The good find: ask for a suite with a terrace bathtub, the detail you'll remember from your stay.
