Palais Namaskar review: our verdict
You enter Palais Namaskar through a long avenue that crosses the gardens, leaving you with the memory of a scent, that of the lobby. Over five hectares, on the route de Bab Atlas, pools and fountains are everywhere; the gardens are lit by candlelight as night falls, and the architecture blends Oriental, Asian, and Andalusian influences according to the principles of feng shui. Most of the 41 rooms, suites, villas, and palaces feature a private pool or a heated pool.
For communal life, there is a large main pool, unheated, with a wide area where you can wade and a small pool for splashing, several tables, a rooftop bar, a spa, and yoga. Moroccan cuisine plays on delicacy, and the lunch buffet offers cold starters, hot dishes, plancha meats, and desserts. Couples seeking relaxation, weddings, and receptions will find the setting they are looking for. Less so for families looking for animation: despite a children's club, the place thrives mainly to the rhythm of adults coming to unwind.
The good deal: the pool and lunch package, with towel, sun lounger, and welcome drink, to discover the estate before booking a night. The pitfall: forgetting that drinks are extra beyond the package, and that the main pool remains cool outside the season.
