Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Club review: our verdict
Fifty-eight slides, thirty-seven of them designed for the little ones: at the Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Club, the rooms are mainly for sleeping between rides. The pools are divided into zones across five hectares, set among olive trees and watched over by lifeguards everywhere, with the Atlas Mountains in the background, a fifteen-kilometre drive from Marrakech on the road to Ourika.
The all-inclusive formula is tailored for families: you eat and drink from morning till night, the kids' club is running at full capacity, and the animation team keeps up with games, podium dances and shows, without forgetting the parents. The staff, smiling and helpful, contribute greatly to the atmosphere. A couple seeking quiet will be disappointed: the restaurant hall echoes loudly, and in the rooms, which are spacious but poorly insulated, you can hear your neighbours as well as the corridor.
The good tip: drop your bags at reception and head to the slides straight upon arrival, without waiting for the room to be ready at 3 pm; once the key is returned at noon, the park remains open until departure. The trap: book a full week, as the buffet, varied on the first few days, quickly repeats. Without staying on-site, you can also spend the day there, from 10 am to 6 pm, a practical option for families from Marrakech.
