Our review
Fusion and rooftop in Rabat
Zing is a fusion restaurant on the first floor of Avenue Mohammed VI in Rabat. The concept rests on an audacious blend of Moroccan-Asian influences that gives the menu a singular identity in the capital’s dining landscape. Between reinvented wok dishes and deconstructed tagines, Zing embraces its fusion approach unapologetically.
The fusion menu
The menu explores crossovers between Moroccan and Asian cuisines with varying results. Reinvented dim sum with local flavors, spicy wok dishes and deconstructed tagines offer unexpected combinations. The weekend brunch is the highlight — it draws crowds with a formula mixing pancakes, eggs and Asian touches. Cocktails are well-crafted and pair nicely with the meal, especially on the rooftop at the end of the day.
The rooftop
The rooftop is Zing’s major asset. The view over Rabat, comfortable seating and relaxed atmosphere make it a popular spot for drinks and dinner. The terrace is well-appointed, with sofas and spaced-out tables. Service is professional and attentive, and indoor air conditioning offers a comfortable alternative when it’s hot.
Our verdict
Rated 4/5 on Google, Zing is an address worth visiting for the atmosphere as much as the food. The fusion concept divides — some love the bold combinations, others find them too far from the originals. The rooftop, brunch and cocktails are the three main reasons to go. Avenue Mohammed VI, Rabat — reservations recommended on weekends.
