Azulik Inla review: our verdict
Des tacos and margaritas deep in a maze within the medina: Azulik Inla pulls off the great balancing act. The decor makes up half the journey, with natural materials, dim lighting, and a boho-chic vibe, featuring a central patio full of character and a rooftop tailor-made for photos. In the kitchen, a refined Mexican cuisine with mastered seasonings and polished presentation, far from chain-style Tex-Mex.
It's a nightspot, open only from 6 pm to midnight: perfect for a dinner for two, a girls' birthday celebration, or a first city evening that's a change from tajines. The welcome is very friendly, the service attentive, and the bar knows what it's doing. It's not the place for huge appetites or those who hate getting lost: you really have to want to go there, and the portions prioritize finesse over quantity.
The glass to order: a margarita, or a cocktail leaving the bartender to choose. The trap: relying on tacos to fill you up, they come in minimalist quantities. The tip: book online before you leave, and keep GPS on until you reach the door.
