BCK Art Gallery review: our verdict
You can fall under the spell of a canvas at BCK Art Gallery and take it home without any hassle: the gallery handles the shipping of purchased works. Since 2012, it has championed contemporary art by featuring Moroccan and international artists, established names and young talents, side by side in a succession of exhibitions along Ibn Aïcha Street.
The visit is pressure-free: the team introduces the artist of the moment, their background, and their work, then leaves you to look around. The house also overflows beyond its walls, with children's workshops under the name BCK Kids Art, guided city walks called BCK Art Tour, and an art-focused riad near Bab Doukkala. An hour of culture between two cafés in Guéliz, whether as a couple or with curious children; not for those seeking a permanent collection, since everything changes with each new exhibition.
The trap: come on a Sunday, the gallery is closed; it opens from 9:30 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday. The good tip: check which exhibition is currently on before heading over, as the content changes completely with each new installation.
