BE Agafay review: our verdict
One hour's drive from Marrakech, and the scenery shifts: glamping tents lined up in the Agafay desert, with the Atlas peaks facing them. They are spacious, pierced by large bay windows overlooking the landscape, each with its own bathroom. At the heart of the camp, the free-form swimming pool, its bar, and the sunbed island in the middle draw everyone in, among loungers, a jacuzzi, and a restaurant terrace turned toward the panorama.
You stay for a two-person getaway or come for the day with friends: the calm is essential, the team is attentive at every table, and in the evening, traditional music and a fire show enliven the camp. Between swims, camel rides, quad, buggy, or massage. At the table, it's more hit-or-miss: some leave full from generous tajines, others waited over two hours for a lukewarm lunch served in September 2026. Not for a gourmet meal, nor for those wanting to linger: the pool remains small.
The good tip: the swimming pool pass with lunch, from 11:30 to 17:30, to enjoy the camp without staying overnight. The pitfall: counting on a quick lunch, as service stretches easily at noon. The best slot: stay until evening, for a drink as the sun sets over the desert, then dinner on site.
