Our review
On the Corniche, between brasserie and nightlife
Brasserie by Manaos is a restaurant at 56 Boulevard de la Corniche in Casablanca. The concept is twofold: international brasserie by day, nightlife venue in the evening. It’s an address that changes faces with the hour — calm and bright for lunch, then festive with DJs and live music on weekends. The terrace offers a view of the Corniche boulevard.
The brasserie menu
The menu covers international brasserie classics without taking real risks: well-loaded burgers, grilled meat and fish, pasta and composed salads. Portions are fair and presentation is polished. The menu is designed to please a broad audience — you eat well, though cuisine isn’t the primary draw. The cocktails are more inspired than the food menu, which says a lot about the venue’s positioning.
Atmosphere and events
The setting is modern and spacious, with polished decor and ambient lighting that transforms in the evening. DJ sets and live music nights draw a trendy crowd on Thursdays and weekends. The ocean view from the terrace adds an appreciated dimension, especially at sunset. Reservations recommended for themed evenings.
Our verdict
Rated 3.7/5 on Google, Brasserie by Manaos divides opinions. Nightlife enthusiasts praise the atmosphere, the setting and the music programming. Those who come for the food find the prices high relative to what’s on the plate. It’s primarily a destination for the atmosphere and nightlife on the Corniche, rather than a purely gastronomic one. Boulevard de la Corniche, Casablanca — worth trying on a Thursday or Friday evening.
