Le Pavillon de la Kasbah review: our verdict
An elevator in a riad in the medina is rare enough to be worth noting: at Le Pavillon de la Kasbah, it serves all floors, and the house is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Ten spacious rooms, each decorated in its own way between contemporary furniture and Moroccan craftsmanship, a rooftop pool facing the medina, and a spa with hammam and massages.
Breakfast, served on the rooftop by the poolside, is among the highlights, and the reception team takes the time to recommend restaurants and outings, even walking those who leave at dawn. A good base for a couple, a trip with elderly parents, or a small seminar, with Jemaa el-Fna a quarter-hour walk away. Not for those expecting a chic environment right at the door: the neighbourhood remains very popular, and a rooster from the neighbourhood sometimes sings at night.
The good deal: the hammam and a massage on-site after a day of walking. The pitfall: leaving a shower issue unresolved; pressure and temperature have already done their damage; report it on the first day. Count around 2,000 DH per night (190 €) (as of April 2026).
