Les Jardins de la Médina review: our verdict
At night, the pillow smells of the fragrance you chose upon arrival, and a small card announces the weather for the next day: it is these kinds of details that make you recognize Les Jardins de la Médina. The rest lies in the space, rare in the medina: a 19th-century riad opened onto 3,200 m² of garden, where turtles roam freely around a heated pool.
The team is attentive without being overbearing: fresh juices and cut fruit by the water's edge, sweets left in the room, special care for the little ones. The restaurant justifies dining on-site, with refined Moroccan cuisine and a generous breakfast buffet. A good choice for a couple seeking tranquility or a family with young children, just a few minutes from the Saadian Tombs and the Badi Palace. Less so for those who want to make every dirham of their room category count.
The trap: the Sultane room, pleasant but priced above what it offers. The bargain: at the spa, book a couple's hammam by requesting a practitioner for each person, to move straight from exfoliation to massage without waiting your turn.
