Leone Discoteca Marrakech review: our verdict
The DJ booth doesn't overlook the room; it's planted in the middle of the dance floor, and all of Leone Discoteca revolves around it. In Villa Yvette, in Hivernage, the club alternates Moroccan DJs with guests from elsewhere, and the programming stays within house, deep, afro, or tech genres until 5 a.m., Friday and Saturday only.
The room is small, which brings dancers close together quickly, with its lighting effects, a few settees in the back, and reservable tables served separately. The owner welcomes guests personally and the staff remains respectful. For a group of friends who knows their classic house, a birthday, or the end of an evening started in a restaurant in the neighborhood. If the pointed programming doesn't speak to you, the atmosphere will fade quickly, and the entry fee will seem expensive for a room of this size.
The trap: believing the entry includes a drink; it includes none. The best slot: from 11:30 p.m., on a Friday or Saturday, the only nights open.
