Theatro review: our verdict
Around 3 a.m., the music stops and Theatro changes its act: dancers, acrobats, and fire breathers take over the hall, sometimes under fireworks and balloon releases. The club has been performing since 2003 in the music hall of the Es Saadi casino, a venue over sixty years old spread across multiple levels, with resident and guest DJs spinning until 5 a.m.
You climb up after dinner in the neighborhood, as Comptoir Darna is only a few minutes' walk away: birthday, group of friends, weekend trip to dance in Marrakech. The staff know how to arrange the tables, a VIP service attends to those who want their own corner, and the show impresses with every performance. The downside boils down to one word: the crowd. The hall is packed almost every night, movement between levels is difficult, and waiters struggle to keep up. It's better to look elsewhere for a large dance floor or a quiet conversation.
The trap: arriving without a reserved table, while the club fills up almost every evening. The right slot: a little before the 3 a.m. show, so you're seated when the performance begins. The doors open every night at 11:30 p.m.
