Es Saadi Marrakech Resort review: our verdict
You don't come to Es Saadi for novelty, you come back: some are on their fifth stay, others return fifteen years later to the palace of their family holidays. The estate has held Hivernage since the 1960s and has not renounced its original architecture, a blend of Persian, Andalusian and Egyptian influences punctuated with Moroccan craftsmanship, spread across eight hectares of gardens. You stay either in a suite in the main building or in a villa on the edge of a 3,000 m² lagoon.
Daily life revolves around the large swimming pool, where you can lunch in the shade, and the spa: hammams, massages and facial treatments carried out by expert hands. Tennis, fitness, children's club, casino and several tables complete the estate, including the Italian Othello, and the concierge arranges shuttles, taxis or dry cleaning without making you wait. Couples, families and conference attendees will find their account here. Less so for those seeking the intimacy of a riad: it is a large resort, with its seminars and its hustle and bustle.
The trap: booking a suite in the main building while dreaming of the lagoon, only the villas offer direct access. The good tip: a massage or a facial treatment at the spa, one of the estate's strong points.
