Palais Darkum review: our verdict
At Palais Darkum, the sparrows provide the soundtrack, the wind stirs the pink and white flowers above the mosaic, and this palace tea lounge is never rushed. You choose your tea from a menu that travels from India to China via Japan, but the classic remains mint tea, served with sesame and chickpea flour biscuits, or Moroccan and Parisian pastries. In the evening, the place transforms into a bar: cocktails, wine, tapas.
Inside, the decor is often refreshed, books are available, and a saxophonist sometimes animates the evening. The attentive service follows the tranquil tempo of the place. To read in peace, chat with friends in front of a teapot, or toast after a day in the city, the shaded terrace is just right, and access is arranged for people with reduced mobility. Not for partying: you come here to lower the volume, not raise it.
The good tip: chic aperitif, cocktail and tapas, at 220 DH per person (updated in February 2026). The glass to order: mint tea in the afternoon, with its biscuits. The perfect slot: sunset on the terrace, when the tea lounge switches to bar mode.
