A feast for the senses above Jemaa El Fna square
Nestled just above the bustle of Jemaa El Fna square, MÖ-MÖ Marrakech is the new destination making the heart of the medina vibrate. Born from the creative partnership of Salima (Yazel) and Fred (Mandr), this restaurant offers an immersive experience where bold decor meets Mediterranean cuisine.
The design, by Yann Dobry, is a true ode to the energy of the square. It's a whirlwind of colors, patterns and textures that, while loaded, creates an undeniable "wow" effect. The decorator has brilliantly captured the spirit of the storytellers, musicians and aromas of the square in an exuberant and joyful space. The eye is constantly drawn to charming details, like pastel-toned lamps, naive frescoes and artisanal cushions by Ourika The Label, adding a touch of authenticity and softness to this organized chaos. The restaurant's two terraces are the ideal vantage point to soak in the unique atmosphere of Marrakech.
The menu extends this sensory journey with a resolutely Mediterranean culinary offering. It invites sharing with a selection of creative mezzes, including beetroot or pumpkin hummus, a melt-in-your-mouth baba ganoush and feta cigars. Main courses navigate between oriental flavors and Moroccan classics, with options like Shish Taouk, grilled sardines, Kofte, as well as tanjia and chicken tagine. Special mention for the moussaka, meltingly tender, and for vegetarians, the cauliflower risotto is a delicious alternative.
To end on a sweet note, the poached pear dessert with orange blossom, served with verbena cream and pear caramel, is an absolute highlight. With fair prices and efficient service, MÖ-MÖ is an address to visit without delay for an unforgettable culinary and visual experience.
