Riad Fès review: our verdict
Riad Fès is less a riad and more a hidden estate nestled within the alleyways of Fès El Bali: a spa, a pool, a rooftop where you can enjoy an aperitif under the misters, and a restaurant, Gayza, whose cuisine holds its own. A member of Relais & Châteaux, awarded a Michelin Key in 2026, it embraces the high-end without losing the soul of a medina home.
What strikes you is the service. From booking to breakfast, the team anticipates your needs, recommends dishes, and remembers you, under the watchful eye of very present management. This is the address for a stay for two or a first time in Fès, when you want to explore the medina on foot during the day and the comfort of a grand hotel upon your return. It is not a budget-friendly option: you pay here for a high-end level of service, and it shows on the bill.
The good tip: dine at least once at Gayza, the house restaurant, rather than venturing out into the alleyways. The best time slot: the rooftop aperitif in the late afternoon, when the misters take over from the sun.
