The Sisterhood review: our verdict
You come in for a coffee, you leave with a vintage shirt: The Sisterhood has made mixing genres its trademark. A spot for unique pieces chosen one by one, a workspace, a terrace, and a rooftop where you can sit without looking at the clock, on Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Avenue, in the Mellah.
The menu covers the day: brunch, toasts, smoothies, tea, sweet and savoury alike. You'll meet travellers with their laptops, couples returning for two days in a row, families with strollers, and sometimes a music group on the roof. It's not a place for dinner: everything closes at 6 pm, and those looking for a traditional medina meal will go elsewhere. Nor is it for the hurried, anyway: the place is made for lingering.
The dish to order: a toast, the avocado toast at the top, with a smoothie. The best slot: late morning for brunch, then a visit to the vintage spot before the light falls on the rooftop. The best tip: come even without hunger, just for the vintage selection.
