Les Bains de Marrakech review: our verdict
The pampering begins before the treatment: you settle by one of the two pools, the indoor one or the outdoor one, with a tea in hand, waiting to be called for the hammam. Open for over twenty years near Bab Agnaou and fully renovated in 2021, Les Bains de Marrakech offers traditional hammams, mud wraps, scrubs, massages, and facial treatments in simple or double cabins.
The itinerary is well-oiled: you move from one treatment to the next without ever feeling rushed, with a tea between each step and Moroccan pastries to finish, to the point of feeling as if you are alone in the place. The intimate atmosphere suits a couple, a girls' night out, or a first shared hammam with an already grown-up child. Not for a post-dinner massage: everything closes at 8 pm. And during busy hours, the reception is more expeditious than the rest of the itinerary.
The pitfall: arriving on the dot and sacrificing the planned pool time before the treatments. The tip: leave with the products used during the hammam, for sale at the exit, based on Moroccan ingredients and free of parabens.
