Nōka review: our verdict
The decor transports you before the meal arrives: at Nōka, the dining room immerses you in elegant, immersive Asia, closer to a Chinese interior than a sushi bar. On the plate, fresh sushi and dishes crafted as much for the eye as for the palate, alongside a genuine selection of juices and cocktails that stands up to the cuisine.
The atmosphere remains calm, service is quick and attentive: it's the perfect spot for a dinner for two, a family meal, or a business lunch in the Hôpitaux district, just steps from Boulevard Abdelmoumen. A rare and practical detail: a space is provided for prayer. This isn't the address for a sushi platter delivered in ten minutes or a party that's heating up: here, voices are kept low and time is taken.
The dish to order: the sushi, the highlight of the menu. The drink to order: a juice or cocktail from the list, just as meticulously crafted as the plates. The best time to visit: Friday evening, as the house opens at 3 p.m. but serves until 12:30 a.m.; other days, from noon to 11:30 p.m.
