LRNCE Studio review: our verdict
Laurence Leenaert has turned a floor of Sidi Ghanem, nestled between kitchen cabinets and garages, into a destination for design enthusiasts. The Belgian creator designs bold-colored ceramics, textiles, wall mats, mirrors, sandals, and kimono-cut jackets there, crafted with local artisans and domestic materials. The workshop and boutique share the same space: you can see pieces being made right beside the ones you can buy.
It's a detour for decorators, collectors of signed objects, and fans of graphic universes, not a stroll: the surrounding industrial zone, under construction, has no charm. Prices are those of a designer house. On-site, the team is attentive; from afar, it's slower, and quotes for large orders can take two weeks to arrive.
Good tip: buy on-site, where prices are a bit softer than online, then have it shipped abroad. Pitfall: falling into the 13:00 to 14:15 break, or on Sunday, the day it's closed.
