Marrakech Tower review: our verdict
The meal is merely the first act of a night out at Marrakech Tower. You dine downstairs while a group plays live music, then the DJs take over upstairs, and the venue stays open until 2 a.m. The menu, signed by French chef Bruno Macchi, goes in several directions: tapas, pizzas, chicken or beef tajines, bistro-style plates, and house cocktails to follow.
The setting is modern, accented with Moroccan touches, and the welcome begins right on the sidewalk of Mohammed VI Boulevard, very close to M Avenue. Inside, the team is attentive and smiling. Between friends, to blow out candles or stretch a dinner late, Marrakech Tower fulfills its promise. Not for a gourmet seeking precision: the cooking remains uneven, and desserts as well as pizzas have already disappointed.
The trap: ending with tiramisu or betting on pizza, the two weak points of the menu. The right slot: dinner, to enjoy the live band before heading upstairs. Open every day from 10 a.m.
