Comptoir Darna review: our verdict
Since 1999, the recipe hasn't changed: a dim, moody room, Moroccan tables, and Oriental dancers who take the stage as musicians play their traditional instruments. On the plate, tajines, couscous, and pastilla meet miso salmon and shrimp gyozas; the star remains the mechoui-style lamb shoulder. Around 9:30 PM, the grand show begins, and the evening moves up a floor, where a DJ sets up near the cocktail bar.
There are two services, at 7:15 PM and 10:30 PM, the latter for those who want to stay until 1 AM. Birthdays, friend groups, families with children looking for an oriental tale setting: the attentive team handles all of this. The door, however, sorts: smart dress is required, and you feel judged before entering. In the kitchen, it's uneven, with starters and desserts more reliable than some slightly dry tajines. Foodies coming for the only table will be disappointed.
The dish to order: the royal couscous, more convincing than the tajines. The trap: the sides, like the 14 € bottle of water, or about 150 DH (recorded in April 2026). The good slot: the first service, to be at the table when the show starts.
