Gusto Marrakech review: our verdict
A pianist accompanies every dinner at Gusto, setting the tempo for a house that only comes alive at dusk. In the kitchen, classic Italian dishes are reimagined with ingredients often imported from Italy, on a broad menu ranging from carpaccios to lasagnas, from risottos to pizzas, including fresh pasta, with charcuterie and Alpine cheeses prominently featured.
The dining room features warm tones and low lighting, extended by a terrace on the hotel side of the Agdal district, overlooking the circuit. The director keeps a close eye on the service, which is cheerful and moves through courses without delay on good evenings. Families have their reason to visit: a pizza workshop where children can make their own dough. Perfect for a birthday, a family dinner, or a night out with friends. Not ideal for a rushed dinner on a busy evening: the pace between courses can then stretch out.
The best tip: the pizza workshop, which keeps the children occupied and lets the parents enjoy the piano. The best time slot: a late dinner, as the restaurant remains open until 2 a.m. from Tuesday to Sunday, and until 1 a.m. on Monday.
