Vamos review: our verdict
Vamos takes Spain as its guiding thread, from the first drink to the final DJ set. Located on Mohammed VI Avenue in Agdal, the kitchen serves tapas and Iberian recipes, with occasional forays elsewhere, while the house cocktail menu is built to complement the plates. The contemporary decor draws on Mediterranean colours; it is the terrace that makes the evening.
Service begins only at dinner and extends until 2 a.m. Big matches are shown on screen, then the DJs take over and the meal slides into party mode. The venue targets groups of friends, birthdays and large gatherings, and can be booked for private events. Don't think about coming here for lunch, or for a quiet tête-à-tête on a match night. As for the cuisine, the address is still relatively new here: we will return to say whether it holds up over time.
