L'MIDA review: our verdict
You first need to find the door, discreetly located in the middle of the souk near Rahba Lakdima; behind it, two floors and a rooftop overlooking the medina. In the kitchen, Narjisse Benkabbou travels Moroccan recipes with dishes shared in the middle of the table: ravioli as starters, Berber gnocchi, chicken skewers, beef tajine in the makhani style, and a menu that changes with the seasons.
The decor blends the riad spirit with a few industrial touches, the service keeps up the pace even when fully booked, and the bill remains reasonable for the setting. It's the table to keep after a few days of classic tajines, for a lunch between two walks or a tête-à-tête at dinner, with the city's rooftops facing you. Don't go up there for an aperitif: the house doesn't serve alcohol, and it's well-made mocktails that accompany the meal.
The dish to order: the Berber gnocchi, then the skewers. The trap: showing up without a reservation, especially for a rooftop table. The good tip: bring cash for a small tip, as credit cards are only accepted from 200 DH (threshold raised in July 2026).
